Student K-Plussa rules from 1 September 2024

The Student’s K-Plussa membership is a temporary benefit offered by Kesko Corporation (the “Company”) to its customers for Plussa membership. The Student’s K-Plussa membership can be granted to an adult full-time university student of a Finnish university who is the main member of the Plussa household (“Student”).

The company verifies the right to the Student’s K-Plussa membership annually using the Student’s university email. When registering the Student’s K-Plussa benefit, the Student gives consent to the Company to store the Student’s university email address in its systems for which the membership is registered.

The Student’s K-Plussa membership is valid from 1 September to 31 August (“Period”) at a time. The Student’s K-Plussa membership can also be registered in the middle of the Period. If the prerequisites for the Student’s K-Plussa membership are met on the first day of September each year, the Student’s K-Plussa membership is renewed for a new Period. The Student’s K-Plussa membership can be valid for a maximum total of five (5) Periods. The maximum of five (5) Periods is calculated from the Period during which the Student’s K-Plussa membership is first registered. The Student’s K-Plussa membership is terminated at the end of the Student’s fifth (5th) Period. The Student’s K-Plussa membership will not be renewed for a new Period if the Student’s K-Plussa membership has been valid for at least five (5) Periods by 1 September 2024. The student can cancel their Student’s K-Plussa membership through the Company’s customer service.

Student’s K-Plussa members are entitled to a total purchase bonus of five (5) percent. Purchase bonuses are accrued on purchases made in K-Citymarket, K-Supermarket and K-Market stores. In addition to the above, the purchase bonus is accrued from contractual Kespro customer contract sales.

The bonus is accrued from grocery purchases made by Student’s K-Plussa members, that is, the main member and other members of the household during the calendar month. A more detailed list of products that accrue purchase bonus can be found here. The purchase bonus is paid if the Student’s K-Plussa household has purchased bonus-accruing products for at least 75 euros during the calendar month. Bonuses are accrued on purchases made during the calendar month up to a maximum of 25 euros, which means purchases of 500 euros. In accordance with these terms, an additional bonus (Lisä-Plussa) will be accrued to the Student’s K-Plussa household.

If a Student who is the main member of their household has prohibited the collection of product-level purchase information, Student’s K-Plussa purchase bonuses cannot be granted to the household.

The Company has the right to change the Student’s K-Plussa rules by notifying the Student. Rule changes enter into force at the earliest one (1) month after the Student has been informed of the change. If the Student continues to use the Student’s K-Plussa benefit after the rule change has entered into force, they are deemed to have accepted the changed terms.

The Company has the right to terminate the Student’s K-Plussa benefit by notifying the Student at least three (3) months prior to the termination of the benefit.

If the Company considers, for a justified reason, that the Student does not comply with the Student’s K-Plussa rules or otherwise no longer meets the criteria for granting the Student’s K-Plussa membership, the Company has the right to terminate the Student’s K-Plussa membership in the middle of the Period by notifying the Student of the termination. In that case, the Student’s K-Plussa membership will be terminated one (1) month after the notice of termination.

The Company’s K-Plussa rules in force at any given time supplement the Student’s K-Plussa rules.
